Upminster Old Chapel

In 1801 a congregation began to worship at Upminster Chapel. They were the fore-runners of the congregation currently worshipping at Trinity Church. In 1911 the congregation outgrew the chapel and moved to more spacious premises in the town centre.

The building passed into the hands of the Brethren and later into the hands of the Havering Christian Fellowship. It has fallen into disuse and disrepair, but is a grade 1 listed building. Will it ever be used for Christian purposes again? It would be great to think that one day it will...
